DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: RAJWELD – 8018 C2 is a low hydrogen iron powder type electrode depositing 3.5% Ni. It has pleasing operating characteristics like medium penetrating stable arc easy to operate in all position low spatter loss and finely rippled weld bead. Weld metal possesses excellent toughness at sub zero temperature down to minus 100C. Welds are of radiographic quality. Ideal for welding fine grained and nickel steel for service temperature down to -100C and also for welding 3 – 3.75% Ni steel. Typical application includes pressure vessels, Piping, Valves and Tanks etc.

Precautions:

  • Store in a dry place.
  • Redry the electrodes at 250°C for one hour before use and place the baked electrodes in carrying oven at 90oC while in use.
  • Maintain appropriate current and short arc.
  • Remove oil, grease, dust & rust from parent metal.
  • Do not handle the electrodes with moisture greasy hand.
