(For general purpose welding of mild steel)
DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: A general purpose, medium coated, all position rutile type electrode suitable for general fabrication, structural and maintenance work in mild steel. Electrode having smooth arc strike, low spatters, easy de-slagging and finely repelled weld finish. RAJCORD-13 is suitable for steel furniture’s wagon building, storage tanks, auto bodies, fabrications of chimneys and building etc.
Precautions:
- Use dry electrodes. Electrodes slightly affected by moisture should be carefully dried at temp 150°C before use.
- Maintain short arc and employ welding currents within the range recommended. Welding with excessive current results in increased spatter, undercut and uneven slag covering. Furthermore it adversely effects the quality of weld metal.
- Remove oil, grease, dust and rust from parent metal.
