DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: R-2209L is a versatile duplex stainless steel GTAW (TIG)/ GMAW (MIG) wire with exceptionally smooth performance characteristics. It is used for welding duplex stainless steel types UNS31500 and UNS31803 requiring high resistance to stress corrosion and high yield strength, especially in ship building and chemical industries. It can also be used for joining duplex stainless steels to mild steels. Lowest possible heat input is recommended while welding duplex stainless steels.
