RAJWELD – 8018 C1
RAJWELD – 8018 C1
(High strength hydrogen controlled electrode)
DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: RAJWELD – 8018 C1 is a hydrogen controlled iron powder type electrode having special type of flux covering gives weld deposit of 2.5% Ni for welding nickel alloy steels which are used for their high ductility, toughness and resistance to the embrittling effects of subzero temperature. It has stable arc with medium penetration and low spatter easy to operate in all position, easy deslagging. Welds are of radiographic quality. Typical application include welding of Ni alloys steel having 2.5% Ni, fabrication of parts subject to low temperature services, refinery, pressure vessels & valves etc.
Precautions:
- Store in a dry place.
- Redry the electrodes at 250°C for one hour before use and place the baked electrodes in carrying oven at 90oC while in use.
- Maintain appropriate current and short arc.
- Remove oil, grease, dust & rust from parent metal.
- Do not handle the electrodes with moisture greasy hand.
