( Basic Coated Hydrogen Controlled Electrode)
DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: A basic coated, low-hydrogen electrode deposits high quality welds having good strength and ductility at sub-zero temperature. Suitable for welding mild steel, medium high tensile steels, low-alloy steels, steel of unknown composition, welding of highly restrained joints and for non-machinable welds on Cast-iron. Typical applications include heavy machinery such a cranes, rollers, tractors, earth moving equipment’s, ships Railway coaches & cast iron etc.
Precautions:
- Store in a dry place.
- Redry the electrodes at 250°C for one hour before use and place the baked electrodes in carrying oven at 90oC while in use.
- Maintain appropriate current and short arc.
- Remove oil, grease, dust & rust from parent metal.
- Do not handle the electrodes with moisture greasy hand.
