DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS: RAJWELD–18 A1 is a basic coated, low hydrogen iron powder type electrode possesses excellent characteristics like easy to operate in all position on AC as well as on DC. It deposits 0.5% Mo steel weld metal which gives excellent creep resistance up to 525°C. The weld metal of 0.5% Mo possesses good mechanical properties at room temperature and at elevated temperatures. The welds are of radiographic quality. RAJWELD–18 A1 is specially designed for welding C- Mo steel and 1% Cr – 0.5% Mo steels, high temperature pressure pipelines, boiler tubes and boiler plates where creep resistance is necessary.
Precautions:
- Store in a dry place.
- Redry the electrodes at 250°C for one hour before use and place the baked electrodes in carrying oven at 90oC while in use.
- Maintain appropriate current and short arc.
- Remove oil, grease, dust & rust from parent metal.
- Do not handle the electrodes with moisture greasy hand.
